Fancy a snack with character? Something tasty and light? Have you tried Pom-Bears?
You may have seen these little guys in the crisp section, and wondered what they taste like.
Fuss Free Living is here to help. Of course. I can tell you that these little bear-shaped crisps are a nice alternative to potato crisps. They are made from potato powder so are light and crispy. They are the type of crisp that melts in your mouth.
They are cooked with sunflower oil, so are naturally lower in saturated fat and contain no artificial colours or preservatives.
Already they sound good enough to give to children, ideal for parties and packed lunches.
They are also vegetarian, and gluten free.
Now Pom-Bear are available in Smokey bacon, prawn cocktail and cheese and onion, aswell as original (lightly salted). Available in multipacks of six, each bag a decent serving of 19g each.
For the last week, I have been adding these to Neets packed lunch. She may be eleven now, but these things are still important to her and I knew I could rely on her for a good review.
She was pleasantly surprised to find them in her lunch bag, as they were different from the usual potato crisps I put in. She was also delighted that these Pom-Bears came in her favourite flavour prawn cocktail. So already a few thumbs up from Neets.
Her verdict was quite simple. Very nice, and tasty. She likes that they are bear-shaped and wasn’t embarrassed at all but them. Her favourite flavour is the prawn cocktail, but she say the bacon ones are delicious. I asked would she like them again, she says most definitely.
Neets enjoyed them so much, that I gave them to her one day this week as part of her dinner. She was having salad and pita one hot day, so I emptied a bag of bears on to the side. Good ideal, and a nice alternative to say chips.
There is something about these little bear-shaped snacks. Not only tasty but unique too. Little bears with smiley faces and even tummy buttons. Cute.
Not only that, but Pom-Bear has his own website, with lots of fun stuff to look at and games to play. Take a look here.
Pom-Bear are available at most supermarkets, multipacks of 6 cost approximately £1.39.
