, A wreath is not just for Christmas, and I love having one on the door of the flat all year round, living in the city i find it a timely reminder of the changing seasons. Admittedly it is far easier to make one if it hangs inside without being exposed to the elements.
I put my spring wreath together in less than 10 minutes using a ready made twig wreath form and flowers from Hobbycraft. Skill needed is minimal.
Plug in your glue gun and allow it to heat. Twist the flowers into 7 groups of 3 and one group of 6. Bend the wires under and trim off any excess with a pair of kitchen shears.
Using a glue gun glue the flowers to the wreath along with some moss and hang from the front door. Simple!
I’ll add the chicks and some eggs at the end of March to turn the spring wreath in to an Easter one.
Equipment used
12″ wreath £3
Daises £1.30
Roses £2
Chicks (£1) & eggs (£1) to be added later
Total cost = £8.30
Many thanks to Hobbycraft for the supplies.

Hi Vicky,
Believe me that I am not at all crafty. If I can make this anyone can. All you do is glue the flowers on.

A lovely wreath Helen. I’ve never made one before either but seeing how simple it is to put together has inspired me to make my own. Looking forward to seeing how it looks at Easter with the chicks added.

I have happy memories of seeing my mother knee-deep in silk flowers, hot glueing away at her seasonal wreaths to sell at Church fairs. I’ve never been tempted to follow suit, but you have made it look so easy and very effective. A lovely Easter idea, Helen.

That’s really lovely – I am going to order a glue gun. I want to get back into crafting – food has rather taken over lately!
