Remember back in April the story of my Mother and Marks and Spencer? Read it here.
Well that was forty-five days ago, and Marks and Spencer still haven’t sorted this out. Still haven’t refunded or even apologised.
It was on 24th April that my Mother last spoke to someone. She phoned the store at Kingston Park and more or less got nowhere with even the manager. He was insisting she had to drive all of 50 plus miles just to get the refund that their staff had been responsible for. And of course the 50 plus miles back home too.
My Mum then got the phone number for head office, and spoke to someone there. Again, the first thing that was advised was that she drive back to the store to be refunded.
After much explaining and going round in circles, it was finally agreed that my Mum would email them the details of the transaction (they had asked her to send the receipt, but she didn’t want to lose it) and they would send a refund to her via the post.
Forty-five days later, and noting. Zilch. No word. No post. Nothing. All she has is an automated email saying they got her email.
My Mum is 70, and although quite with it, could really do without this type of thing. So my darling sister has taken it on board now, and has written to Marks and Spencer. May I just say the help section on the website was useless.
I expected this to be resolved by now. I’m amazed and disgusted that it isn’t.
